NASA astronauts will be flying with the newest smartphones for the Artemis II lunar flyby and the Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station, which is an unexpected development given the impending milestone in space exploration.

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman made the announcement on X, saying, “NASA astronauts will soon fly with the latest smartphones beginning with Crew-12 and Artemis II.” We are providing our crews with the resources they need to record memorable moments for their families and share motivational photos and videos with the globe.
