Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max Early Benchmarks Revealed Ahead of Global Launch
Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max Appears in Early Geekbench Listings
Before its official release, the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max has appeared in early benchmark rankings, providing tech aficionados with their first look at the smartphone’s potential performance. The gadget, which is anticipated to be a member of Xiaomi’s well-liked Poco X series, is slated to make its worldwide debut on March 17 and provide the mid-premium smartphone market fresh hardware advancements and competitive pricing.
The gadget emerged under the product number 2602BPC18G, which has already been connected to the Poco X8 Pro Max, according to recent leaks from benchmarking platform Geekbench. These preliminary findings not only validate important hardware specifications but also provide insight into the phone’s potential competitiveness with other flagship-level products that will be released in 2026.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9500s Chipset
According to previous announcements from Xiaomi, the new Poco X series smartphones will feature powerful processors from MediaTek. The Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to run on the advanced MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, a next-generation processor designed to deliver improved speed, efficiency, and AI performance.
Benchmark data shows the smartphone achieving single-core scores averaging 2,673, which places it ahead of some devices powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus chipsets. However, it still falls slightly behind devices running the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
Performance Compared to Competing Flagships
In multi-core tests, the Poco X8 Pro Max recorded average scores of 8,471, suggesting solid performance for multitasking and demanding applications. Despite these promising results, the device appears to trail behind flagship smartphones powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and other Dimensity 9500 series chips.
For example, the OnePlus 15R, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, reportedly outperforms the Poco X8 Pro Max by more than 10% in single-core performance. While this gap may matter to power users and gamers, the Poco X8 Pro Max is still expected to deliver smooth everyday performance and strong value for its price.
RAM, Storage, and Expected Pricing
Leaks also suggest that the Poco X8 Pro Max will launch with 12 GB of RAM as its only configuration, ensuring smooth multitasking and faster app performance. Storage options are expected to include 256 GB and 512 GB variants.
Pricing rumors indicate the device may start at €529 (around $610) for the base 256 GB model, with the higher 512 GB version costing approximately €579 ($670).
Global Launch Expected on March 17
With its powerful MediaTek chipset, generous RAM, and competitive pricing, the Poco X8 Pro Max could become a strong contender in the premium mid-range smartphone market. If the rumors are accurate, Xiaomi fans will not have to wait long, as the official global launch is expected on March 17.
As anticipation builds, more leaks and official details are likely to emerge, giving consumers a clearer picture of whether the Poco X8 Pro Max can live up to the expectations of the highly popular Poco lineup.
