Everything You Missed at Unpacked 2026

Samsung’s latest Unpacked event in San Francisco put the spotlight firmly on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, but that wasn’t the only big story. Alongside the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, Samsung introduced upgraded Galaxy Buds4 models and expanded its powerful Galaxy AI ecosystem. With smarter features, stronger performance, and refined design, the S26 lineup shows Samsung’s continued push to redefine what an “AI phone” can do.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Privacy Display and Premium Power

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra leads the pack with top-tier specifications and a sleek, refined design. Samsung has softened the once blocky Ultra shape, giving it a more rounded and slimmer look that matches the rest of the lineup. It features a stunning 6.9-inch AMOLED QHD+ display with an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz for ultra-smooth scrolling and power efficiency.

The new Privacy Display feature is one of the most notable enhancements. The screen’s sophisticated pixel technology reduces side-angle visibility, which makes it perfect for delicate work in public areas, private chats, and financial apps.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by a potent Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage. A 5,000mAh battery has 25W wireless charging and 60W rapid charging, which can reach 75% in just 30 minutes.
The 200MP primary sensor, which is now brighter than its predecessor, together with a 50MP ultra-wide, a 50MP telephoto, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, will appeal to camera enthusiasts. Samsung still offers the S Pen stylus, but it doesn’t have Bluetooth.

Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the 200MP main sensor, now brighter than its predecessor, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide, a 50MP telephoto, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Samsung continues to include the S Pen stylus, although Bluetooth functionality remains absent.

Galaxy S26 and S26+: Balanced Performance and Value

The Samsung Galaxy S26 and Samsung Galaxy S26+ offer premium features at slightly more accessible price points. The S26 features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display, while the S26+ steps up to a 6.7-inch QHD+ panel. Both include adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz.

Samsung has officially eliminated 128GB storage models, starting the lineup at 256GB, with an option for 512GB. Both devices come with 12GB of RAM and are powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset as the Ultra.

The triple-camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto lens, along with a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Galaxy AI: Smarter Than Ever

Samsung is strongly positioning the S26 lineup as AI-driven smartphones. The upgraded Galaxy AI platform introduces features like Audio Eraser, which reduces background noise in videos, and Creative Studio enhancements that allow AI-powered image editing with simple prompts.

New tools like Now Nudge suggest meeting times based on text messages and calendar availability, while updates to Now Brief and Now Bar provide personalized updates based on your daily habits. These intelligent features aim to simplify productivity, communication, and content creation.

Galaxy Buds4 and Buds4 Pro: Enhanced Audio Experience

Samsung also introduced two new earbuds: the Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds4.

The Buds4 Pro feature an 11mm Super Wide Woofer and a 5.5mm Planar Tweeter for immersive sound, while the Buds4 include an 11mm Dynamic Speaker. Both models deliver strong noise cancellation and seamless integration with Samsung devices, making them ideal companions for the Galaxy S26 series.

Final Thoughts

With powerful hardware upgrades, advanced AI capabilities, and improved accessories, Samsung’s Unpacked 2026 showcased a refined yet forward-looking ecosystem. Whether you choose the S26 Ultra for its privacy features and camera power or the S26 and S26+ for balanced performance, the Galaxy S26 series sets a strong standard for flagship Android phones in 2026.
