Samsung’s smartphones have a strong integration with Google’s Gemini AI. Any new Gemini innovations that Google introduces are probably going to be extended to Samsung products as well because of the two firms’ strong cooperation.
It looks like Gemini is about to get additional features that could let it to do things for you within apps, like getting you an Uber or delivering meals without you having to do such things yourself.

The logical next step for AI on mobile devices is agentic AI.
After exploring the Google app 17.4 beta, the people at 9to5Google discovered references  to a new “Get tasks done with Gemini” feature. It seems that this might initially be made available as an experimental Labs feature.
According to the beta version, “Gemini can help with tasks, like placing orders or booking rides, using screen automation on certain apps on your device.”
Users are warned by Google that Gemini may make mistakes and that “you’re responsible for what it does on your behalf, so supervise it closely.” At any moment, users will be able to stop the agent and take control of the task.

You will instruct Gemini to arrange for an Uber to take you to your workplace. Gemini will launch the app and make the ride reservation for you using its agentic AI skills. Additionally, that’s how it will  AI skills to start the application and make the ride reservation. This is also how food delivery will operate.

For instance, Gemini will use Uber Eats or other compatible applications to order a meal from your preferred Thai restaurant when you instruct it to do so. Not every app will have this feature, and Google might initially only support a small number of them.

Since this is the logical development of AI on mobile devices, none of this will come as a surprise. However, it’s unclear when Google will add this feature to Gemini.
